Checking for Leaks
Even a little drop of water that is dripping all day can waste about 20 gallons of water. Do your part in saving water by checking for leaks.
There are many ways that you can conserve water. Here are a few of them:
Other ways to conserve water
Car Wash!
To wash your car, don't wash it with your hose because that uses a lot of water. Just get a bucket of water and some sponges and start scrubbing. This uses a lot less water. Then, use the excess water to water your plants.
Don't flush trash down the toilet!
When you flush the toilet it uses about 2 gallons of water. If you flush the toilet when there is nothing to flush, you are wasting water. If you flush trash down the toilet, you are also wasting water
Brushing your Teeth
Another way to conserve water is to turn the faucet off while your toothbrush is in your mouth.
Take Five Minute Showers
When you get into the shower, you wash your hair, you turn off the water, then turn it back on to rinse your hair and while you are doing your hair wash your body as well. Small actions can combine to make something big.
Laundry/Washer
When the washer or dryer is not full, don't run it.
